The responsibilities of the Fire Department include: prevention of fires and fire hazards throughout the City; suppression and containment of fires; education and related initiatives in fire prevention; the provision of rescue and emergency medical services and interpretation and enforcement of Chapter V, The State Fire Prevention Code.
The Henderson Fire Department stands ready to respond to fire and emergency medical calls 24 hours a day, 365 days a year. In addition to fire suppression, the fire department also provides first responder services.
