The Henderson Community Appearance Commission was established in 1985 by the City Council when it enacted Section 26-A of the City Code. The purpose of the Commission includes, but is not limited to, initiating, promoting and assisting in the implementation of programs of general community beautification within the city and its environs; provide leadership and guidance in matters of area or community design and appearance to individuals, and to public and private organizations and agencies; and direct the attention of the Mayor and City Council to ways in which the City government may take direct action affecting the appearance of the city and its environs. Meeting Schedule and Location: The Appearance Commission meets regularly on the second Tuesday of each month at 3:30 p.m., City Council Chambers, Henderson City Hall, 134 Rose Avenue. The public is cordially invited to attend.
