In order to avoid penalties and minimum monthly charges, it is the customer’s responsibility to close his/her account with the City. This must be done, in person, at City Hall during normal business hours. If an account has been disconnected for two consecutive billing periods, the City may disconnect such accounts and pursue collection as well as Code Enforcement against those living or running a business in a house or building without running water and sanitary sewer services. Customers seeking to reestablish a utility account will be responsible for paying all monies due the City as well as establishing a security deposit.
Please speak with a Customer Service Representative at City Hall if you have questions or call 252-430-5700.
