Raleigh, NC - Gov. Roy Cooper issued a new stay-at-home order on Tuesday, December 8th to limit the spread of the Coronavirus, ordering most businesses to close at 10 p.m. each night, starting Friday, December 11, 2020.

"We have to act now to save lives, preserve hospital capacity and protect our economy," Cooper said during an afternoon news conference.

Governor Cooper said the stay-at-home order "means just what is says - people are to stay home during those hours."
